This is, by far, one of the best things that I have the privilege of doing... teaching all of you and helping you guys get accepted onto Glider and Power. On behalf of the entire instructor staff, I just want to wish everyone the very best going forward on their exam this week. Get lots of sleep (I mean that!), study and push hard for these last couple days and never forget why you started down this path. Yes, I know it's been hard and challenging but guess what, that's what becoming a pilot is all about. You ain't gonna get there by doing nothing So work hard, push hard and take care of yourselves. Even though the exam can be intimidating, walk in knowing that you've got this. Be proud of the work you've put in and know, this is only the beginning folks.
Don't forget about your medicals! Get them done! Give Dr Martin Fogel a call, 204-783-7070 and get that appointment made. Also, here are some last minute reminders for the this exam week:
1) There is NO ground school tonight as all of you are writing the exam at your local squadrons on your parade night this week
2) Remember the following:
- Bring water, and eat a healthy supper. Sleep would be good too
- You have 2 hours to write the exam
- Bring a couple pens, and your E6B if you have one
- Glider: 40 questions
- Power: 50 questions
And... a big thanks to all of your instructors too, including Lt Truong, OCdt Darcel, CI Pesto, Mr Damsel, Mr Lewycky, WO1 Darcel and WO2 Lamoureux. Guys, a lot of work goes on behind the scenes and I think we ought to take a moment and realize how privileged we are to have such an amazing team of instructors working in this program.
